Get familiar with the scam texts common in the UK, and know how to report them free so the networks can block them.

Step-by-step guide

Be wary of texts about missed parcels, bank fraud, or unpaid fines that push you to tap a link.
Don't tap the link; go to the company's official app or website yourself.
Forward scam texts to 7726 (free), then delete them.
On iPhone, tap Report Junk under messages from unknown senders.
