Steps
Open Chrome on your Android phone and go to haveibeenpwned.com.
Have I Been Pwned is a free service run by security researcher Troy Hunt.
Type your email address in the search box and tap pwned?
Review the results. If your email appears in a breach, you will see which sites were affected and what data was exposed.
Tap Notify me at the top of the page.
Enter your email address and tap Notify me of pwnage.
Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Have I Been Pwned and click the confirmation link.
How to confirm it worked
- You receive a confirmation email from Have I Been Pwned.
- You will receive an email notification if your address appears in any future data breach.
Troubleshooting
- I did not receive the confirmation email.
- Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from haveibeenpwned.com.
