Use a normal user account for daily tasks and switch to admin rights with sudo only when a job truly needs them.

Step-by-step guide

Log in and work in your normal account, not the root account.
When a task needs admin rights, run it with 'sudo' and enter your password.
Don't enable direct root login for day-to-day use.
Only add someone to the sudo (or wheel) group if they genuinely need admin access.
