Turn on Face ID (or Touch ID) and move from a 4-digit PIN to a six-digit or longer passcode. This is the lock on everything else on your iPhone.

Step-by-step guide

Go to Settings, then Face ID & Passcode.
Set up Face ID or Touch ID if you haven't.
Tap Change Passcode, then Passcode Options, and choose a six-digit or custom code.
Avoid birthdays or repeated digits.
