Check that your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) is on the latest version and set to update automatically.

Why this matters

Your browser is one of the most exposed applications you use. Browser vulnerabilities are actively exploited, and updates patch them quickly.

How to do it

  1. Chrome: Menu → Help → About Google Chrome — it will update automatically if allowed
  2. Firefox: Menu → Help → About Firefox
  3. Edge: Menu → Help and feedback → About Microsoft Edge
  4. Safari: Updates via System Settings → Software Update on Mac
