Turn on two-factor authentication
Two-factor means that signing in needs your password plus a code sent to a device you own, so a stolen password isn't enough. Open System Settings, click your name, then Sign-In & Security, and turn on Two-Factor Authentication if it isn't already.
Check your trusted devices
On the same screen, review the list of devices signed in to your account. If you see anything you don't recognise or no longer use, remove it. Each trusted device can receive your sign-in codes, so the list should only hold devices that are actually yours.
Keep a recovery method
Add a trusted phone number and, if you like, a recovery contact or recovery key. These are how you get back in if you ever lose access, so it's worth setting one up while everything is working.
