Review your privacy and tracking settings
Your iPhone has strong privacy controls, but a few are worth setting deliberately rather than leaving on their defaults. Ten minutes here reduces how much apps and advertisers learn about you.

Stop apps tracking you across other apps
Go to Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Tracking, and turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track. This stops apps following you across other apps and websites to build an advertising profile.
Trim location and analytics
Under Privacy & Security, then Location Services, set apps to While Using rather than Always unless there's a clear reason. Further down, under Analytics & Improvements and Apple Advertising, you can turn off data sharing you're not comfortable with.

If you're ending a relationship where someone had access to your phone, Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Safety Check helps you quickly review and stop sharing your location and data with specific people. It's a thoughtful tool that's there if you ever need it.
